LivingEthically.co.uk is part of Ethical Earth Limited, a Limited Company established in 2004 by its Directors, Stephen and Samantha Ellis for the purpose of promoting orgo-eco-ethical lifestyles.
Although a limited company, we operate under a voluntary 'not for profit' policy. It is our intention not to make a profit from this venture. We pledge to donate any profits that may be generated (after repayment of loans from Directors) to charitable causes.
Our aim is to promote organic, green and ethical lifestyles via this website, by acting as an information and shopping directory on these subjects. To see more about our philosophy please go to Our Vision.
Our Advertising Policy.
Because we don't sell anything or charge companies for listings on this website, we generate income from advertising and through affiliate commissions - it is our ethical policy to make these promotional activities easily identifiable to our site users. However, we know from surveys that people find pop-up and animated banner adverts annoying, so we have decided not to use the former and only use the latter in our own promotional material.
Our Directory Listing Policy
We choose to list organic, eco-friendly and ethical services/products because we believe their greater use is of benefit. Some retailers and companies listed in our directory will be greener than others, and some less ethical for example, while some will be neither but stock a range of organic products. We leave you the right to choose which retailer you'd like to purchase from.
Our standard listings will always be made on a purely alphabetical basis, and sites may be included on up to 3 pages totally free of charge. Companies may be included in more than 3 pages, but to help to cover the time involved we reserve the right to charge a small fee for additional pages. We also charge a small fee for companies to include their logo next to their listing.
